Financial Guarantee Valuation

In general, a financial guarantee uses the financial assets of a third party guarantor to ensure a debtor is protected and the creditor is responsible for its financial obligations.

According to the International Accounting Standards, financial guarantors are required to disclose the scope, nature and terms of their guarantees in the financial statements.
